Tony Peck is a Baptist Pastor from England. He was brought up in Glasgow, Scotland, and made his Christian commitment through the work of Scripture Union. He is a keen musician and studied music first of all, teaching for several years in Secondary Schools. Following his call to the Baptist ministry he has served as a local church pastor, a Regional Minister in Yorkshire, Director of Pastoral and Mission Studies at Bristol Baptist College, and since 2004 the General Secretary of the European Baptist Federation
He lives in Bristol and commutes to the EBF Office in Prague, Czech Republic. In his first five-year term he visited most of the 55 member Unions of the EBF, in Europe, the Middle East and Central Asia. During his period as General Secretary the EBF has taken significant new initiatives in church planting, monitoring religious freedom and building an anti- trafficking network. He is also an Associate Secretary of the Baptist World Alliance. His recent writing reflects his major interest in the topic of Baptists and Religious Freedom. He is married with three grown-up children.
